Had a really good night last night floating on a cloud of sleep-deprivation. (I actually felt more sober at the END of the night as alcohol intake was more than matched by caffeine, which dispelled the strange whirling buzz the world was making at about 5pm before I even started drinking) Am now even more convinced than ever that mopeyness last weekend was 1% situation and 99% PMT, making me even more determined to make it to a Family Planning place this week (or even my doctors as just remembered they run one) and get back on the injection.

This morning I remembered I had houseplants.

It turns out they have suffered more than me this week from my hectic workload. I bought houseplants on the grounds you have to replace them less often than flowers. This may turn out to be a massive misconception. They were somewhat crispy, and are now soaking in what is rappidly becoming a bowl of plant soup.

Next LJ update likely to include the phrase: "Plants drowned. Oops"

I probably, on reflection, shouldn't be allowed to get a dog.

On the plus side, I cooked an egg this morning and it didn't go bang once.

Dont they only, generally speaking, go bang once anyway? ;)

Yay! That'll probably be my only going-out of next weekend so I shall hopefully be there and bouncing.

Also, you HAVE to come to the free Black Sheep gig (think it's the 28th) as Season's End are playing and they're lovely people and rock muchly. And because Paul is wonderful enough to put on free events and so deserves much support :-)

It works for shrunk clothing so it should work for this... I mean, clothes are kind of made out of plant, aren't they?

btw, do you know if you need one or two places in a car to Patrick's yet? Am going to attempt to be good and sort out the car pool...

Yes. And use non-biological daz. then tumble dry on low heat.

I think 2. I shall know for sure on Wednesday when I see Rachel next. Depends if she can extort more money out of her mother or not.

I can only use persil non-bio. Think it's an eczema thing.

Have put a new carpool poll Up on LB's so bung something on there so I don't forget. I think there's at least three heading over so I'm sure there will be space - it always starts up looking like there's more cars than people but it's never the case... besides, if you don't make it who's going to go paddling with me and Patrick in the goldfish pond?

I definately need a me shaped space. Whether I need a slightly smaller girl shaped one next to me is probable but not definate as yet.

I've pestered her and should hear next time she wakes up. :-)

as for the theme... I shall come as the Ancient Egyptian God of 21st Century Comfortable Trousers. Unless I come up with a better excuse before then.

(p.s. I dunno what it is about Daz but I am allergic. Evil stuff. No one seems to get on with it.)

I kill all known plants - apart from Aloe Vera for some reason.

And, yes, even cacti die when bought by me. :(

I had a plant when I still lived at home that wasn't quite a cactus but had fleshy leaves, and it lived on my window sill and got ignored for months on end and occasionally drowned and seemed to thrive on it. They actually had that kind of plant at Homebase when I bought these and I thought "NO, I'm grown up now, I'll move on"

My mum actually has a plant I made her that's nealy as old as me. When I was five(?) years old we made plant pots one mother's day by daubing plaster and sand and paint onto yoghurt pots and then the teacher put a sickly seedling into each and sent them home with us. The thing grew till it lapped over the edge of the pot with a few solid dangling leaves, then stopped. It never flowered, or grew any bigger, or died.

It's kind of soothing and scary at the same time...

My best mate is really good with plants. She had a rubber plant she called Audrey which grew big and had a baby. She gave away Audrey and kept the baby which she named Audrey 2. Audrey 2 eventually became so enormous he took over one end of the living room so she had to get rid of him too.
