Hello darkness my old friend....

Insomnia really does lose its novelty value after a while doesn't it? :-)

It's not so much the not sleeping as the feeling like a zombie for half a day.

The eczema atcually seems to have been teporarily whacked which is a huge improvement but I'm having huge difficulties getting the sleeping patterns back. Hoping the Christmas hols might give me a chance to get back to normal again, even if it involves a week of abnormal waking times to force myslef back to normal

(Apparently the best "natural" way to make yourself sleep properly is to stay up two hours later each night\day until you're back to normal again)

Seriously though I hope it passes soon. After all spend too long with insomnia and you end up like me! *twitch twitch*
Things i have found in the past that help me shave a few hours off the insomnia are:
Horlics (yup its an old bods drink but hot milky type drinks do work to some extent)
Spoken word stuff (if you find something with the right tone of voice it can lull you)
Or in serious cases staying up for 24 hours (the ctrl, alt, del of body clock management!)

One thing I have heard of that is meant to work is white noise. I can't remember where I picked this up but apparently it works with babies who won't go to sleep and also it can work with adults. Play it at a low volume. I think it distracts the brain from locking on to all the little creaks and groans that happen around the house that you usually don't notice until you are trying to get to sleep (at which point your brain goes "oooooh! what's that?!?!".

Worries?
Caffeine?
Speed addiction?
Too much junk food?
Loud bedroom decor?

I dunno.
