Eczema still being a bastard. Back of my legs today feel as if the skin has been scraped off. Technically the new cream did make a difference as the flare up has gone down a little. However most of that occurred on Thursday night before I was actually able to collect the stuff, so I think it was probably more psychological due to relief at having something else to try. I think another trip to the doctors might be on the books.

It is entirely possible that this is the Universe punishing me for buying PVC when I can't afford it. However I prefer to think of it ass the universe punishing me for not buying rubber as well.

(Past experience however would suggest that this outbreak is due to the sudden drop in temperature. This theory however fails to take into account the all-important factor of buying slinky clothes and therefore has no relevance to the real world)

However more, good health news: went for another sarcoid check-up today and turns out that the substandard breathing test result was just a fluke, and that my lungs are in tip-top condition. Don't have to go back for 6 months now, and they reckon within a year I should be clear completely (not that there's anything to see now, but in a year even the nothing to see shouldn't be there anymore...)

Other nice things:

  • Mum came over today to come to the hospital with me and we had a lovely wander round town (except for hurting legs bits) and lunch and stuff.
  • Walked smack into an old friend in town at the weekend, who not only had I not seen for nearly a year, but I believed to be in an entirely different country. Much inebriated fun, philosophical debating, psychic experimentation and trivial pursuit occurred.
    (Still no ghosts though.)
  • In spite of the fact that I was too poorly to fence on Monday we were told that the whole class was of a high enough standard already to join the proper Leeds fencing club - so more bladed bouncing with Rob Sel and Dave is to come

Now, is red wine medicinal or bad right now?

Yes, it is. You should buy both to appease the Gods...(and me) :)

The eczema is not so much the weather getting colder - its the fact that we then have the heating on and have hotter baths and suchlike - I know mines flared up in the last few weeks since its been colder and the heats been on everywhere
