I ended up writing this last night after LJ's act of cannibalism, them realised that if I posted yet another entry people would just get bored and skip it, especially considering how few people seemed to be around yesterday. (You can tell you're bored when you end up reading your own posts and are considering leaving a comment) I expect this one to be thoroughly ignored, at which point I will post a one-liner about raddishes and get a flood of replies...

Wednesday morning I weighed myself on official Superdrug scales (did that for the first time last week)... have lost 2 lbs. Which is good but I was hoping that as this was my first official week of dieting I might have lost more. Felt somewhat better when I sat down and worked out that this was on a very generous diet (1500 calories a day) which I had nevertheless broken three times: many beers and a curry on Saturday night (Sel's birthday so it doesn't count), huge plate of Scampi and chips on Sunday night plus more beer in the Phono (parents were buying so it doesn't count) and big steak dinner on Tuesdayday night (part of being stranded and keyless so it doesn't count) followed by two massive pancakes with gallons of maple syrup when we finally got home (Kris objects to cooking skinny little crepes and besides it was pancake day so it DEFINITELY doesn't count) AND doing more than half an hours walking still wears me out so I think it's a little soon to be going back to swimming and dancing yet. Which means this week I should definitely loose more than 2lbs. Or at least come up with some more excuses. Besides, am officially giving up chocolate for lent. Kris may be leaving the country

Spent all of Wednesday putting together chests of drawers from Ikea... there's three of them - they're only narrow but the drawers are really deep, so they're so much more useful than those ones which are wide but can just about hold two layers of tissue paper without jamming. Also put together a trunk to keep all my towels and spare bedding in. I am stupidly proud of myself, especially as I actually finished the bastards and didn't put anything off until "later" Somewhat shocked to realise that for the first time since... um... well, EVER, I might actually have storage space for all my possessions in my room. Have even decided what to put in each drawer, which would usually delay the sorting-out process by up to 4 months. Now just need to get smelling things to stop clothes smelling of sawdust, and something to line the trunk with. And to tidy room. Not yet though as am still in a state of aching semi-collapse after the past few days activities.

After that the plan is:
1) Organise my office (which will empty half the crap out of the dining room)
2) Paint my wardrobe
3) Do something interesting to trunks. possibly involving purple velvet
4) make little shelves to fit all my bottles of cosmetics on (I only ever actually use witchhazel, 5.5 facial wash and a basic moisturiser but I'm addicted to buying pretty bottles of stuff. Or was. Got that under control now. Honest)
5) Tidy the rest of the dining room and sort out the lighting in there (Dinner parties! Yay!)

By which point our lease will probably be up for renewal... if they don't let us re-sign there WILL be bloodshed. Specially as I have made plans to barbeque things in the summer.

Wonder if Argos still sell that bubble blowing frog...

I think it's the Ladybirds effect...post any short message about cartoon characters, root vegetables or the aerodynamic qualities of non-flying objects and you'll start a thread that'll never stop. Post anything vaguely serious and everybody legs it (apart from Lupe).

Nooooooo!!!!!

Yeeeeess!!!!! ;-)

Yay you anyway, for losing weight despite maintaining a high-lard diet, *and* for putting all that furniture together. And of course now you have that useful little pile of leftover nuts and bolts which will "come in handy" (ie. be kept in the bottom of one of the drawers you've just assembled, forever, or at least until you forget it's there).

My clothes did. I've said before, I have no problem with my figure but I can't stand people who go out in stuff that's blatantly a size or two small for them, with unsightly bulgy bits wibbling all over the place. I can't afford a new wardrobe so instead I shall diet back into my old one.

I also felt more ~me~ when I was a couple of stone lighter... and I usually lose weight off my waist so I end up looking more curvy and my boobs look even bigger even if I go down a size!
