Does anyone know of anything fun happening on New Year's Eve, either in Leeds or somewhere equally Kris-friendly?

(Which pretty much rules out London unless I can find a good enough excuse to drag him there kicking and screaming - we always do new Year together...)

Be warned, I may keep on asking this over and over until someone comes up with a good answer, as I'm rubbish at planning NYE stuff ;-)

There is only one place to be at New Year, and that is in London - at the Vagabonds New Year's Eve party - now at their new and even better venue right on the banks of the Thames underneath the bridge from Cannon Street Station!

See, that sort of fails utterly at the very first 'Not in London' hurdle, unless you can provide compelling reasons that would be good enough to persuade Kris to enter the dreaded capital. (And 'everybody will be there' would be slightly counter-productive, since he doesn't do big crowds either...)

I'm debating Dublin.

I've also been offered a ticket for NYE at 69 Colebroke Row, but just one and the idea of going to a cocktail bar on my own for NYE seems a bit rubbish (I think they're only doing tickets in ones with the idea being that you meet 39 new people on the night).
Lots of love

Oooh, that sounds like a plan! We've got the space for a NYE party, it's just if people are prepared to head out to ours?

Not sure if this fits considering that it would be a tad on the low-key side and you'd be limited in number. However:

1. Book a Hotel Suite
2. Bring music
3. Purchase large quantities of alcohol
4. Enjoy!

Best part, no one has to drive home. (or reasonably clean-up outside of anything you won't be charged extra for).

It's NYE so hotels probably have extra allowance for noise and such as long as things don't get too wild or broken.

Strangely enough, a friend of mine was discussing exactly this, but with a lighthouse rather than a hotel suite...
