At the risk of sounding like the bloke off the Fast Show... Aren't libraries brilliant?

I mean you go in and it's like this enormous bookshop... but they let you just walk out with the books! Without paying or anything! And all you have to do is promise to bring them back in 3 weeks time... and then they'll hang onto them for you and look after them for you until you want to read them again! It's like having a giant bookcase that you don't have to keep in your lounge!

(and another huge snoggy thank you to Lykeios for the surprise putting-up-the-bookcase-that-IS-in-the-lounge visit earlier)

Some are. I hate the local library here a lot. They have no books I want ever.

I miss my Uni library. That one WAS brilliant!

One not-quite-so-brilliant thing about liraries is you can guarentie that if they have any parts of a trilogy you are after it will not include the first part. The only exeption to this rule is if you own the first part yourself, but not the others, in these circumstances they will have all but the last part. These rules can apply to any set of books but will occur without fail to anything that is out of print.
