I actually won THE dress I wanted off eBay! I think I'm in love. Now the only problem comes if it turns up and doesn't fir, but as I'm thinking of it as an early Whitby outfit I reckon I have until september to slim down\get good enough at sewing to take it in depending on which way the problem lies. If all alse rails that should be a good time to sell it on. But I don't want to have to do that, cos I won it and it's mine.
Started another sewing project today - going to add some floaty layers to a little la Senza chemise and make something gothic and summery and NOT BLACK. I might even wear the other one (they were two for twent quid) tomorrow - at least at Wendyhouse you can get away with waering something that's blatantly a nightie and with big boots and fishnets it will look cool and more importantly BE cool so I don't melt at the Cruxshadows - I might even dig my wings out for this year's airing...
Anyway, must now stop shopping as I have spent nearly all of my tax money and I still need a haircut and some shelves and some wood and finmo in order to make a little mini bookcase to hold all my cosmetic junk (I only ever use water, witch hazel and very light moisturisers so in theory I don't need shelves woth of the stuff but I am addicted to little bottles)
Also made a database of all my purchases and filtered queries (I feel all clever now) so I can tell how much I have spent that has yet to show up on my bank balance. Unfortunately I've reached the limits of what my simple books on Access had to teach me and still can't do all the tricks I'd like so I'm now going to have to have to take the plunge into professional level stuff. Wonder if I can wait till I start work and persuade them to buy one there?
And I finished the front garden tonight (well apart from mowing the lawn - that'll have to be tomorrow) I feel frighteningly domesticated - I was even discussing mortgaes with Clare earlier *fear* I also feel completely knackered but this is a good thing as it means I might get to sleep at a decent hour tonight - have to be up earlyish (well, before midday) to get the house ready for guests.
Now off to do last minye sewing things so my outfits will all be ready to pick from tomorrow and I won't have to do last minute panicking... honest
