Hooray for sewing machines!

Finally got round to setting my ickle baby sewing machine up and all I can ask is WHY THE HELL DID I SPEND THE PAST 5 YEARS HANDSEWING??? I just made a mistress skirt out of an old velour nightgown in about an hour and a half... Now I just need to run up a little wrap thing, and possibly some fingerless gloves and I have an entire "new" outfit all ready for Saturday. (Mind you, it's just as well it was that quick to make cos it took me about two bloody hours this afternoon to track down purple cotton)

Am also bidding on a gorgeous satin bridesmade dress on eBay. Think I may have gone a little too high for my budget :-/ but that means I won't be quite as disappointed if I end up losing it. (Not that much less though... I think it's love)

Oh, and I collected the contacts of the black and white films I shot in Barcelona and even allowing for the fact that contacts almost always look better than full size prints I have to say there are some damn fine pictures there. I think I'll get a couple printed for me so I can include them with the article (which has now progressed vaguely into draft form but needs blitzing to completion before I forget) then the rest I can play with in September when I start the photography evening class. (Must send off forms soon.. which means deciding which evening is best. Hmmmm....)
