I think I'm going to try to do that post-a-day-for-30-days thing that other people have been talking about, but in my own, inimitable haphazard style. No list of topics, no plan, just random whatever jumps into my head. (In other words, I posted yesterday, I'm posting today, so let's pretend that it's actually going to carry on tomorrow!)

I am feeling very let down by winter. I was promised sleet and snow* and sub zero temperatures but it's all ended up a bit grey and murky again.

I am also feeling very poor but determined to actually get out a bit more in December, so am planning now and allotting pennies accordingly. On the list so far are:
Friday Flock
Black Veil
Colleague's leaving do
Book Club
Wendyhouse
Any other upcoming festivities I should know about?

Am planning on heading to Subculture for DV80s New year, after Friday's successful test run.

Also, need people's suggestions (again) for Birthday party plan-making. Since I am sort of cheating a little by having another 21st** birthday, and since I love dressing up, I was consider making it themed: 'Liars chats and thieves'. I think this is open enough to give plenty of scope for costumes, but not sure if it gives a lot of inspiration - it may be a bit too open. (Whereas something like 'pirates' or 'zombies' gives people a visual starting point.)

What do people think? Any ideas of how I could capture the 'cheating' thing while still making it easy for people to dress up if they don't want to put a lot of thought into it? Or for any other themes that could work?

This is the last thing I need to sort out before sorting out proper invites and stuff... getting excited now *bounce*

* Snow wasn't technically promised, but in my head sleet and snow are the same thing (even though I know they're not) so it counts.
** Next year I am 21 in hex. This is hex.

I like the liars, cheats & thieves idea because, as you said at bookclub, it's an age cheat.

Ah, cool. Forgot about the picnic but was planning to try to drop into Black Veil as it's ages since I've seen Trish and Roger - might be able to squeeze in both.

27th is into next month's paycheck so that will be fine, although I am working on the Monday...
