Not the bounciest of birthdays.

The whole weekend seems to have been a catalogue of things going wrong, and utter doom and gloom (albeit brightened in the middle by drinks and karaoke club with Jacqui).

I don't want to moan about it on here (well, I do, but I'd end up going on forever and getting all upset and boring the world to death and besides, I'm trying to cheer myself up, not sit and wallow.) Plus some of it I can't talk about yet. And compared to people who have lost jobs, and houses, and even lives this week, none of it's that big a deal. But it's making what was already not the best of birthdays pretty depressing.

The nice birthday messages cheered me up though. Generally I sigh and tolerate facebook, today it is making me smile.

Meh. As I said, none of it is end of the world stuff, especially when you look at what other people are going through. It's just ridiculously frustrating things, and it's them all happening at once, and choosing my birthday weekend to happen on.

It's my birthday and I'll bitch and moan if I want to ;-)

I am half considering claiming bookclub as a post birthday birthdayness thing as it's only a few days later, and will hopefully be more cheery. I just fear that doing so would bring it under the minx, and we'd all suffer death-by-papercuts or something!

Thanks hon :-) I may bitch about some of it at the weekend, while dressed as a barbarian, which will be so sublimely ridiculous it will make it funny. And the rest will probably be forgotten by then. I'm just trying to think of a way to make today happy and not sit-around-mopingish... otherwise I would have been better off going to work and THAT's a depressing thought!
