The plan is there is no plan, as I am allergic to itineraries.

However, as this can lead to some confusion, Kris and myself have readched the following mini-plan.

We (and I assume Dave too) will be in York, at 1 o'clock, for lunch. In a pub.

The pub is provisionally Ye Old Starre Inn, as it is central, allegedly the oldest pub in York, and haunted, and has full WiFi coverage (not that I think anyone's going to be bringing any wireless stuff with them, but it's such a bizarre mix of old and new that it has to be done)

So since we're lunching I imagine we'll be there till at least two, so it doesn't seem a bad place for people to gather and make further plans. I'd still quite like to make it to the dungeon, especially if it's raining, but I'm aware it's a little pricey so am open to other suggestions.

And then wandering and being touristy in general, with shops and pubs and food sometime in the evening for those that require it leading to Evil Eye and cocktails then on to Darklands.

(I also wanted to look into a Ghost walk, depending on time and price and weather... there's a couple at 7.30 which would leave plenty of time for dancing later, or one at 8.30 which would allow for drinking beforehand...)

Anyone who's turning up later hopefully has my mobile number or the number of someone who'll already be there, so we can co-ordinate ~stuff~. Anyone who needs my number email me on the address on my profile.

Dave, can you be at the Merrion centre for 12?

ever noticed quite how many pubs in york claim to be the oldest and most haunted? can't afford the dungeon but would be up for ghost walk, much drinkage (don't mind spending money on drinkage), evil eye and darklands. and probably wandering about town generally too come to think of it. i need to get out of my room.

Yay!

And I'm actually more suprised how FEW pubs in Leeds claim to be the oldest and most haunted when we've found a few of both...

Is Amelia going? Maybe she could make an itinerary.

She and Matt were definitely considering it... she's probably not replied yet cos she's busy writing one! ;-)

If you want a lift rather than drive yourself then we're picking Dave up in town at lunchtime, so just give me a call\text (although obviously that's if you want to stay for Darklands - if you're wanting to come home early you'd have to train\bus\bring own car :-) )
