Second physio appointment today, and medical opinion is that ankle is definitely on the mend. Already got greater range of movement than last time, with less pain when doing the exercises. Apparently I am showing excellent improvement. I feel I should get a gold star or something, but a working ankle will do. Was also reassuring to find out that the aches and twinges I am still getting are perfectly normal for this type of injury.

Still a long way from fixed - I've moved onto the next stage of exercises, and there were some that still hurt too much. And when the physio gave me the exercise sheet at the end he said 'not that one - you can't do that'. Which is not a phrase that's usually in my vocabulary but looks like I still need to be patient and well behaved a bit longer.

Oh, and apparently my range of movement has increased in my good ankle as well. See, by the end of this I will have the strongest, most flexible ankles in the world!

(It does help that my physio is an extremely hot young Asian medical student who spent half the session feeling my calves to make sure I was tensing the muscles right. And remembered my name. AND I remembered to shave my legs this time, and that didn't even jinx things and land me with a different doctor. In your face, Murphy!)

In job news, finally got introductory letter written and sent out to a bunch of recruitment agencies, with more lined up. Hopefully this will be more successful than just sending off random applications. Am obviously keeping everything crossed (including the ankles, which is one of the exercises).

And yes, generally life is good :-)
