Fear my socks! (And answer my questions...)

Failed in writing much last night. However did manage to attempt writing, which is a start. And figured out all the reasons why writing was failing to occur (didn't know enough about one of the characters, hadn't worked out who was telling the story, hadn't narrowed down which bits were the important ones) so feeling slightly more productive, if a little short on actual words.

Just found not one but two pairs of socks that make the Whitby socks look like the model of taste and restraint. I am wondering whether I can get away with wearing both on Sunday, or if that would contravene some kind of international treaty. (I don't *DO* skirts.)

Trying to keep up this socialising thing, in spite of severely depleted bank account, so I am trying to plan ahead up to payday (which is unfortunately still 3 weeks away). There's a Flock and a Sheep and a Wendyhouse birthday and a Spiffy book club in the next few weeks... anything else fun or bouncy coming up in May? Or anybody fancy meeting up for random coffee/pub/stuff? If I don't make some plans and keep them I might slip back into duvet-and-TV mode again and not emerge till Dragon*Con!

Finally, what is this Dreamwidth thing people have been talking about? Is it likely to be a less-dead Livejournal?
