I have a cunning plan.
Next Saturday, for my and-a-halfth, I am planning a ~something~ in York.
Probably getting there for about 1pm as I have UV treatment beforehand. Will work out a good meeting time and find out about train times and stuff.
This covers all types of weathers: if it is nice and sunny this will involve stuff like picnics or pubs with beer gardens, and throwing bread at ducks, and possibly boats.
If it is raining, this will involve stuff like pubs with indoors foods and drinking, and possibly the York Dungeons.
Plus with a daytrip to York, it doesn't matter as much if only a few people make it, as I know quite a lot of you are off out of town that weekend. (I never mind holding a party for only a few people, but I feel bad for guests if they come for a party, and end up sitting round with a couple of people, a bottle of wine and a dustball.)
The idea is to make it a daylight trip so it can fit around people that have places to be in the evening, and also because I'm not sure how much crash space we will have
(Will try to sort something out for those that need it, but the house is full top to toe with boxes at the minute - my parents moved house so all my junk that was stored in their attic is now in the lounge, office/dining room and my bedroom... which are the places we usually use as guest rooms. So at least if it's a daytime thing people could have the option of heading home after without missing out)
We will probably be driving over so will have a couple of spaces free in the car - will work out what do so with them - probably on a basis of who is most in need of them - once I know who is coming.
Will reply later this afternoon to the comments on the other post, especially to those that said they might be up for coming just to see if you still are if it's York instead... you're not being ignored, I am just currently wrestling with boxes and lawnmowers!
Plus if you would like to come and didn't reply on the last post, please shout now!
