Hoorah! Today I am even more not-that-old-yet.
I haven't done anything partcilarly birthdayish yet, as I am at work and have been since silly o'clock this morning. Although I have received some nice birthday messages :-) and my baby Eeyore gave birth to a DVD this morning. (Yana, you're a grannie!) And people here have been asking what my favourite thing in the world to drink is, which is promising.
Tonight I am going to go home, open my presents, find nice food and probably then collapse in a heap as I have been working stupidly hard recently. (Why do people that want to pay me lots of money to do freelance work always have deadlines that co-incide with press day? *sigh* I mean, I shouldn't complain... so I won't, I shall just sleep. Lots.)
Tomorrow I am hoping to go out to a bar and drink lots with some nice people. To do so I need some nice people to both drink with and to suggest a good place to do the drinking in (I rarely go out in town anymore... or anywhere really... so I don't know what's like what these days) I know it's going to be a mission to find anywhere you can actually sit on a Friday night, but being able to move ones elbows would be nice! If it sells interesting drinks that would also be a bonus (not too bothered about cocktails as we shall be going to Evil Eye in York on Saturday - where people would also be most welcome to join - but something with more variety than 2 standard lager pumps and a fridge full of alcopops would be good!) I may also be open to the idea of random alternative clubbing - especially if I rediscover that thing called sleep tonight - but I haven't even thought that far ahead due to brain frazzle.
Sorry for the short notice of all this but, well, see the whole brain frying overwork thing.
But please come! I would very much like to have a drink with anyone who would like to come and have a drink with me! (Nicki, are you still free cos would be lovely to see you again!)
If I get some suggestions then I shall put a time and place up this evening, if I don't then I shall... um... panic!
(Please provide suggetsions! I love you!)
