PARTEEEEEEE!!!

Well, my outfit is actually finished, and considering it's the first major sewing project I've undertaken in year (and that I managed to chose delicate, easily-fraying maetial that had to be hand sewed and double-seamed)I'm incredibly proud of the result. Still got a few details left to touch up but it wouldn't feel like a party if I wasn't doing last minute costume painting two minutes before jumping in the car.

(Note to self: must remember also to get directions before jumping in car or the whole jumping exercise will be rendered somewhat pointless)

What's more outfit takes two seconds to put on, which is a major improvement over the Tank Girl ensemble of last year (5 minutes for clothes, half an hour for hair and make-up, and two bloody days to get the tank out of the packaging. Ages 3 and upwards my arse!) Another bonus being that it is complete with minimal make-up (though I can go crazy if I feel like it*) so I should be able to spend more time partying than getting ready, which is always a plus. I'm feeling so organised I'm even contemplating making a simple hair decoration to match. Though of course that will be after dying hair, wrapping pressie and making last minute dash to the supermarket (please see former notes about parties and things being done with 2 minutes to go)

Now we just need to actually leave the house when we plan to and somehow dodge the whole Kris-driving-down-the-M1-to-party curse, and we're all set!
