I've been using iMesh for ages to download various types of stuff and had no problems at all with it until recently when it went haywire and crashed big style. I was planning a quick uninstall-reinstall but the version now available is 4.0, which is (according to most reviews) massively bundled in with spyware and very hard to clean (I managed to get rid of any unrelated stuff on the last version and keep its internet access tightly controlled but it looks like the newer version isn't going to be that easy to tidy up) I know there are light versions available out there, but while that's fine for me, I'm worried that many people won't bother to dig this out and will just not bother to use iMesh, meaning the pool of users will dwindle and it'll end up being pretty useless. So back to the old questions, has anyone any recommendations for a decent, clean or easily "cleanable" file-sharing software with a decent sized user base. Kazaa is currently not an option as Kris already has that on his machine and the way the computers are networked it looks like it will just get all confused if I use it too... and besides, it's always been sueful having two alternatives to search through. So... any suggestions?
