I've only ever been out in Nottinghm on the way to or from Inkies gigs elsewhere, so never really sampled the nightlife to any great degree, but I've a mate who lives there (hence occasionally passing through) so will have to ask him what he thinks of it. The Pit And The Pendulum is nice though.
